Elliot's first big boy haircut

I am feeling a little sad and regretful for cutting it so short. I think I'll like it better in a couple of weeks. He looks like a different boy. With the dry winter air, his curls fizzled out quite a bit and I had to get it trimmed often or it was in his face, so I decided it was time for a big boy haircut. So, here he is. My big boy.

Well today was Elliot's first haircut! I was proud of myself for not crying. I started to feel my eyes tear up and was able to turn it off just as fast. I knew I could trust that it was going to come out cute. Instead of taking him to the fun, overpriced kids places where they get to sit in cars and eat dum-dum lollipops (where you never know what you are going to get), I took him to the place I get my hair cut. So I wasn't worried about them chopping his curls off. They just cut it dry and trimmed up the bangs and took a little bulk out of the back. I absolutely love it! It looks much better and is super cute. He still looks like my cute little curly haired baby - WHEW!

Time for the 1st haircut?

OK, weigh in blog readers. Do you think it's time to cut off this shaggy curly-q do? I know we have a lot more readers, than commenters, but please let me know what you think. I am one of those moms that cries at the first haircut. I love baby hair. I especially love the curls. But, at a minimum the bangs are getting too long. When it's humid and tight the curls are precious. If only it were humid outside!

Lately it's more Bozo the Clown or Flock of Seagulls when he wakes up with bedhead.

I am thinking it's time to schedule an appointment.....
