Weekend with Claire

When Paul and I went on our weekend getaway recently, the kids stayed home with their favorite sitter of all time, Claire.  There was no time for missing mom and dad.  She kept them busy and having fun.  She emailed me some pictures from their weekend.  How lucky our family is to have Claire.  Sadly she went back to Seattle the next morning after we got back to head back to college.  We'll see her again over Christmas break.

The boys with Claire

Claire has been babybsitting our boys for two years. We first used her older sister, Erin for a summer before she went away to college and then moved on to Claire. She's been our regular sitter ever since. When she comes over it's exciting for the kids. They are very close to her. She doesn't just supervise and keep them safe. She is so fun, creative and active. She is willing to walk a mile and a half in the heat to the park Noah wants to go to that day. She makes homemade marble runs out of old cardboard tubes. She makes bug homes out of old pop bottles. She never tires (or shows it) of playing chase and hide and go seek. And after she puts them to bed, she cleans up!  We will miss her SOOOO much! She goes away to college this week, so last week I had to snap a picture when the kids were getting ready for bed. I was sick and resting with Paul upstairs while she played with the kids and got them bathed. Naturally, Elliot wasn't in the mood to cooperate with a proper smile, but they are still cute :)
